A Big Thumbs Up (Week 5)

So, last week was week 5 and that meant big business. We upped the anty on our run and I thought I was going to puke my guts out last Saturday. Instead of our some-what regular 1-1.5 runs mingled with 1-2 minute walks, we moved into 3 and 5 minute runs with just 90 second or 2 minute walks. Seriously? Seriously!

At the close our of our final 5-minute run there was a nice older gentleman standing to the side of the sidewalk up ahead with a cute little grin on his face. As each of us ran by, he gave us each a big thumbs up! and a "keep going" grin. It was awesome. Just the thing to keep me going and actually finish before passing out. :)

Hurray for our personal cheerleaders!!

Also, this past Saturday I purchased new running shoes... Adidas "Pro-motion" shoes. I made my first visit to the Salt Lake Running Co. Foothill Branch and the great salesman Brandon did a running analysis on my stride and foot pronation to see what shoes and inserts would work best for me...

One run later and so far so good. We'll see how tomorrow goes!

(p.s. I really wish they were pink and grey instead of orange and white, but all-in-all I'm happy with my purchase thus far). :)

You wanted the shoes pink and gray because you're dreaming about mine! haha!!!
Where did you find that picture of the cheesy man? It's perfect! :)
I finally figured out how to comment on this. :) I check it frequently, just so you know.
Love you!

Ashley! If you keep up this running madness you are going to have to start carrying around a 10 foot pole to WACK all the boys and keep them in safe distances. A 10 foot pole... or a 9mm might work! Man Killa!

Keep it up! You are awesome!
